What Is It?
Create Your New Normal is a 10~week adventure to refuel you. The course incorporates movement, mindfulness, group support and Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching. Groups include 6-10 women and one instructor/facilitator/Integrative Health Coach.
What’s the Purpose?
The purpose of this program is for each participant to take charge of her health and to discover, define and create her new normal (i.e. reduce stress, sleep better, get moving, find more “me” time, organize my space, healthier eating, find more joy, etc.).
At a time when life is unpredictable and the comfort of “routine” is nowhere in sight, people are running on empty while waiting for “the new normal”. In this course, we meet each week as a strong, supportive, learning community. We discuss the work we’ve done since the last session, share accomplishments and challenges. We receive our next assignment. Between sessions, as individuals, we do the hard work. We live our busy lives, shift our behaviors, take chances, learn lessons. Our goal, empower ourselves and each other and create our new normal!
What Does It Include?
- 10 group sessions (1/week) ~ 90 minutes each (conducted via Zoom)
- Session Description ~ Each session includes movement, mindfulness, group support and health coaching.
- Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10 – Focus = Health Coaching (65%) with movement (35%) and mindfulness (always)
- Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 – Focus = Movement (65%) with health coaching (35%) and mindfulness (always)
- Weekly Homework/Experiments (between sessions)
- Email support as needed

Everything! Not only can I not find a program like this, never again will a program exist at this time with the same unique group of women. We all share our personal perspectives, experiences, learning styles, goals, challenges, etc.
Key Course Terms – To Refuel You
Mindfulness to Refuel You
Mindfulness and mediation are incredibly personal. During this course you develop and/or grow your mindfulness practice. Mindfulness is enjoyed each session through a variety of methods: guided-mediation, journaling, yoga, breath-work, weekly activities, etc.
An established mindfulness practice is not required!
Movement to Refuel You
Each session incorporates a movement segment. Movement includes a combination of yoga, Pilates and other creative practices. Movement portions are not intended to be an intense workout but instead an opportunity to connect with your body through playful and sometimes challenging combinations of movement and stillness. You control the intensity and pay attention to your body and needs. Options are always provided to meet you where you are.
Established yoga and Pilates practices are not required!
Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching to Refuel You
Each session includes a coaching portion. Between sessions you are doing your work and this is when we discuss, share, learn, problem solve, create accountability, etc. The coach asks questions, leads activities, reflects on group and individual comments and holds space for the group.
Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching comes from a learning and personal development model focused more on what’s right than what’s wrong. The coach is not an expert on content information (i.e. “here’s what you need to do to fix the problem”), but instead stands as a partner in the process. The expertise of the coach is in the process of behavior change, encouraging self-exploration and action. You are the expert of your life and explore solutions that work in your unique circumstances. During group coaching, everyone is invited and never required to share experiences. Just as we honor personal preferences in mindfulness and movement, we acknowledge preferences in group activities, learning and sharing. As a group we explore lessons learned and celebrate success.

Your Integrative Health Coach
Meg Poe, the Coaching Yogi, guides you through this 10~week adventure. Meg is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), a Duke Trained and Certified Integrative Health Coach, an experienced 500~hour Registered Yoga Teacher (500 E-RYT), a Mindfulness Instructor, Movement Instructor, and lots of other things. Movement shifts you from your busy, thinking mind into your sensing, being body. The group provides support in knowing you are not alone, learning through other’s experiences and accountability for your actions as we check-in each session. I’m not here to tell you what to do but to ask thought-provoking questions, encouraging you to shift your perspective on you and your life.
