Tips for Online Class Success
- Dial in early. Technology is amazing and can be very frustrating. Join early and then do other things until class begins.
- Set up your space ~ good lighting, props, music, etc.
- If you know you like props, here are a few suggestions.
- Pillows
- Towels
- Blankets
- A Chair
- A wall or doorway
- A mat is not required
- Be creative!
- Consider the floor surface. A cushy carpet is great when you are rolling around and can create a very frustrating balance situation.
- Music – I cannot use music. It sounds icky through your audio. If you like music, play it where you are.
Thanks for doing this. You pivoted to provide this during a tough time, and the ability for students and fans to continue the Meg experience is huge.
Hi D,
Thanks for the kind words. I love doing this! I am happy to know the pivot provides something good for you. I read a study which measured that the health benefits of social interaction and community are more positive than the benefits of smoking cessation. That’s huge! These classes not only provide movement for us all but we are each other’s peeps. We need to stay healthy together in all ways that we can. Very excited to be together!
Health, Happiness, Community & Movement to you!

Great Wednesday night class! The content and flow were perfect as always, and the personality of the class and instructor is unique and wonderful. Thanks for bringing this to us during this time! D
D,
Thank you for joining my first ever at home live streaming class. I agree the personality of the entire group “unique and wonderful”. Great when we can all pull together.
Hope to see you next week!

Almost as fun as being there in person! Meg’s classes are always awesome and definitely a workout.
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for joining class tonight. Glad you got a good workout (even with a cat on the mat). Hope you find those blocks.
In health, happiness + movement!

Meg, thank you so much for finding a way to continue class with all that is going on! This was the best way to end my day after sitting at my computer and hardly moving. I always appreciate your classes but I do even more so right now!
Hi Cason,
Crazy times call for creative responses and a strong commitment. It’s the best to find ways to keep moving and stay healthy together. I love that we are all supporting each other.
Keep Moving Friend!

I so missed yoga the past couple of weeks. This was great! I loved hearing your familiar voice. I look forward to next Wednesday!
Hi Carol,
When you first joined class at ADF, it made me feel a reconnection to my Patanjali’s yoga family. Kind of felt like home. And now tonight you joined class and we were virtually in each other’s homes. Funny how things work.
Look forward to seeing you next week!

Thank you so much Meg. Wednesday night’s class is a great way to decompress after a day of crazy! Smiling faces and a perfect balance of stretch and strengthening. Health and happiness to all. With gratitude.
Hi Katie,
Overflowing with gratitude … 100%. Happy to be able to assist in the decompression of a crazy day. For me, there is something very comforting about reestablishing our weekly routine. Thank you for being a completing part of the routine.
Yes … H+H to all!

… not quite as kick-glutes as sunday (thankfully), but grateful as always for your getting the fifteen minutes of down-dog in there! great class, smiling faces, ever imaginative combinations, and SHAKING! you’re the bomb!
Hi Gregg,
LOL! There was not 15 minutes of down dog! You are silly. Maybe next class will include that much down dog so you can truly appreciate the accusation. Thank you for joining class. It was fun during roll ups to see you appear in the view of the camera and then disappear. Your face … always smiling!
Looking forward to the next time.

This virus has brought the world in turmoil, but there are also many beautiful initiatives that have arisen. For me personally, I live in Belgium and the highlight of my week is Sunday evening when I can now attend Meg’s Pilates Yoga class (morning in US). THANK YOU MEG for taking the initiative and work on delivering a wonderful online class. Your style of teaching is amazing! I feel energized after each class – it is the perfect ending of my weekend =)
There is turmoil and yet beautiful things do arise. Years ago, I drove across country with my sister, nephew and niece. We drove through Yellowstone National Park. Forest fires had devastated areas of the park and from all the black ickiness were the most beautiful yellow flowers. When you join class, I am reminded of those flowers. Thank you for joining us. It’s amazing to spend time with you and all the amazing people (beautiful yellow flower) from this side of the ocean.
Knuffel,
Meg
